MI-1 is so underated by today's audience. I love a good suspense thriller and Ethan Hunt made Detective Character fun with Intelligence and Action Skill's ie A Spy. MI-3 is also underated but I love it because it showed us he is a regular person who is vulnerable and has desires and needs like every other person. Julia is his one true love and that theme carries into the next lot of movies as one of the motivations Ethan has for his actions and choices. He keeps saving the world for her to live in peace and safety.

The fact that "intimate charecter drama with biblical scope" is considered impossible these days is the saddest commentary of all. *edit 13:20 only because you brought it up first but the guns in the trilogy are actually my biggest complaint against it lol. There's a scene in War where Ceasar is rapid firing a pump action shot gun, a few scenes, and this is definitely one of those movies where guns don't run out and have to be reloaded. A small complaint, for sure, but I would've appreciated fleshing out the apes' utilization of firearms just a little bit more, just my own opinion.

I don't think I've ever seen such a good analysis of anything EVER. This video was so in depth, so personal, so beautiful, that it made me cry more than when I actually saw the movie. You can clearly see in the movie that people are expecting so much from Bruce. Riddler was trying to reach him through letters, Dory was trying to reach him when Alfred was hospitalised and Bella Real was trying to reach him at the funeral. I hope that Bruce realises that he can do so much with the Bruce Wayne persona in the third movie as I want the 2nd to have Bruce still struggle with the concept of fear that he was trying to give off on criminals while being a symbol of hope for people, which can serve Scarecrow as the second antagonist with Hush as a right-hand man. The city was underwater when it ended in the 1st, so Killer Croc could also be another side villain. We can also meet Harvey Dent in the second as well but have him being hospitalised in the 3rd movie and becoming Two-Face in the 4th as Reeves would probably want us to feel connected with Dent despite knowing his impending doom. If Bruce realises that he can do good by Gotham by not being Batman, then I feel like that it will be the perfect opportunity to use Mr Freeze as the antagonist where Bruce will not beat him as Batman but as Bruce Wayne. For the 4th movie, I think Reeves should target the physiological side of the villains, introducing Professor Pyg, Mad Hatter, and Hugo Strange who claims to “fix” patients at Arkham, revealing the Joker, who appears more ‘human’ but has become more insane due to Hugo’s treatments. Finally, the 5th movie could be the Court of Owls which could be the “El Rata Alana” the Bruce learns in the end of the 2nd movie and has thus been building a case against them through the franchise, where it will end with Thomas Wayne secretly alive and running the Court of Owls. I know that this seems far fetched, but I think it would be the perfect storyline for Bruce and his journey into becoming BATMAN.

Not giving Rockets development a spotlight through the trilogy is ABSOLUTELY HEINOUS. You would've expected Rocket to side with Koba and be jealous of Caesar but no Rocket is just as loyal, if not more, than Maurice. Youd expect Rocket to lose faith in Caesar after Koba kills Ash but he never does and seemingly understands Caesars pain and anger towards the Colonel. Rocket was absolutely a key figure. If Caesar is the savior of the Apes then Rocket, Maurice and Luka are his diciples.

That is why I still love movies like Kung Fu Panda, because you learn something from it as an adult. I am 48 and I will never grow up, I might do grown up things like work, and go out, but for the rest of my life, I will always be more like a kid, try to think like a kid, try not to always to take things too seriously. That is one thing in Kung Fu Panda 2 that I took away from, “you have to let those things go, from your past, hanging on to things from the past will tear you down.

I still like Planet of the Apes 2001, but I think the only probably with it was the script. Everything else is great in my opinion accept for the writing of the story and dialogue. Kind of sad it wasn’t that good and that we didn’t get a sequel to it.

why do ppl always asume mocap is 100% one take and done, its not. Animators had to go in and fix flaws, or hand key things because a chimps face and body is anatomically different from ours and the motion doesn't translate. Absolutely give credit to him but the hundreds of animators that worked on this need credit as well. They are the real unsung heroes since you literally did not acknowledge them...
